C. Bart Johnson, JD
As managing counsel with CBJ Financial, Bart Johnson assists clients with wealth transfer planning, income tax reduction, charitable giving, business succession, and complex life insurance planning. Bart graduated Magna Cum Laude from TCU with a degree in marketing, while also assisting the TCU football team to a Rose Bowl Championship and being named an ESPN Academic All-American. Following a time in the NFL, Johnson then went on to follow his passion to pursue a law degree and graduated from the SMU Dedman School of Law.
Bart’s extensive legal accomplishments and diverse legal background provide him with a unique understanding of the relationship between financial, legal, and emotional issues, as well as the dynamics faced by families in the context of their estate and tax planning. Both as an attorney and life insurance specialist, Bart works together with client’s CPA’s, financial advisors, and attorneys to identify problems facing clients and creates strategic solutions to achieve their financial goals.
Licensed in Texas, Bart is a practicing member of Texas State Bar. Bart is also a member of the prestigious Forum 400 – a group limited to elite life insurance professionals in the United States. Bart is active in his community, a Master Mason, and serves on numerous non-profit boards. Bart and his wife Kelcey have twin boys, Hank and Mills and daughter, May.
